Three Roots of our Practice

The practice of the Community of Interbeing is not just mindfulness.  We follow the traditional approach which has three roots or parts which, when taken together, leads us towards our aspiration.

  • Mindfulness: calming our mind so that worries and anxieties do not dominate our lives.
  • Interbeing: recognising that we are not separate, that we are part of a community, an ecosystem etc
  • Conduct: recognising that the choices we make and actions we take affect the happiness and health of ourselves, our fellow humans and the wider natural world.
